Jewellery production has become more popular since the organization of a workshop at Nunavut Arctic College. A jewellery society was created by its graduates and a small studio space was created from rented space at the Jessie Oonark Centre. Precious metals are used, but natural materials are more popular — caribou antler, muskox horn, ivory, and baleen. Jewellery production is now created more in home–studios, but a designated studio rental space is still available at the Jessie Oonark Centre.
